New Soundboard for Communication & Media

Give to Bring “The Dog” into the 21st Century!

Your Western Challenge gift to support the School of Communication & Media will help us to finally retire the soundboard that has served 88.3 "The Dog" radio station for the last half century! That sound board is older than some of the current faculty, and is likely the same exact mixer that you may have used in your time here if you graduated in the last 50 years.

Besides bringing in technology from the current century, the new board provides 16 stereo (or up to 32 mono) audio inputs and outputs and will allow our current and future students to remote-in to the radio station for covering sporting events, accessing system updates, and arranging shows.

Our goal is $4,075 to purchase the new soundboard. Make a gift of $100 or more, and we’ll send you a souvenir knob from the original board—a piece of "The Dog" history!
