Everyone who's ever set foot on our Macomb campus knows the iconic sound of the Sherman Hall carillon bell system. Over the last 120 years, WIU has had several carillon systems playing for students, and this one is now nearly 30 years old. If you remember the sweet sounds of Western, you know just how vital the bells are to our campus atmosphere.
A new carillon system will keep the bells ringing and allow us to expand our repertoire of songs to include the WIU fight song for Homecoming, tribute songs for Veterans and Memorial Days, and many others. Your gift will help preserve the sound of Western for years to come.
