We are still tallying up the results, but THANK YOU to everyone for helping make this year's GivingTuesday a success! 

There is still time to make a gift and unlock additional matching funds for The Fund for WCU, so keep encouraging your networks to support Western before Friday, December 1.

Don't forget to do your part: spread the word so we can reach our 1,000 donor goal and maximize the $25,000 challenge for The Fund for WCU!

Several members of the WCU Foundation Board and Advancement Leadership issue a $25,000 match to GivingTuesday donors! 

For each donor that gives during the GivingTuesday campaign (through December 1st), the following individuals have agreed to match a total of $25 per donor up to 1,000 donors that will be allocated to The Fund for WCU. Can we meet their challenge?

Thanks to the The Fund for WCU donors and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program, the School of Nursing offered a series of outreach events across the region during the summer. Watch this video to hear more about the project and why it mattered to the community from Kae Livsey, Professor in the School of Nursing!

The Fund for WCU and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program provided support for members of the Academic Success program to visit Argentina this spring through an eight-day international learning experience!

In this video, Niya Boyd talks about how completing the Catamount Community Courses helped ease the transition to campus as a transfer student. The Fund for WCU and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program provided funding for a dozen students to complete the courses and assist with tuition for the fall semester.

Thanks to the The Fund for WCU donors and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program, the Catamount Women's Basketball program welcomed back more than 20 players last spring for the team's largest reunion in a decade. This event helped build community and camaraderie within the women's program.

In this video, Rylan Moore talks about how the First Gen Club Alumni Panel helped encourage them in their academic pursuit at WCU as a first generation college student. The Fund for WCU and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program provided support needed to revive First Gen Club, an initiative sponsored by the Mentoring and Persistence to Success Program (MAPS). 

Thanks to The Fund for WCU and the WCU Division of Advancement’s 1889 Impact Grants Program, members of the Chancellor's Ambassadors organization were able to enhance their leadership and public speaking training this past summer.
