Born in December of 1999, Joesph Hoot was raised in Canyon, Texas. He was a 2018 graduate of Ascension Academy in Amarillo Texas, and a senior biology major at WTAMU intending to pursue a graduate degree in entomology. Joe passed unexpectedly on October 31, 2022. This scholarship fund is established by family and friends to recognize and perpetuate his memory, engagement and kind spirit. The scholarship will also support students majoring in biology and who meets the criteria for the WTAMu merit Scholarship program.
