Support University College
University College helps students launch, elevate, and succeed by meeting them where they are and helping them move forward with confidence, clarity and individualized support. UC supports all of West Chester University’s students in a variety of ways, including:
Advising & Academic Planning
- Students deciding on a major
- Customized degree pathways
- New students transitioning to WCU Access & Academic Support
- Special admissions programs
- Disability support services
- Tutoring, writing support, and academic coaching
- Holistic support for all first-year students to ensure they are connecting with resources, experiences, and people at WCU University College is home to WCU’s flexible, customizable degree in Interdisciplinary Studies—an excellent option for students who want to design a degree aligned with their goals, draw on prior college credits, and move efficiently toward graduation.
University College supports every WCU student in some way. The Dean of University College also serves as the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Success, underscoring the college’s central role in advancing WCU’s mission and commitment to student success. As WCU’s youngest college, founded in 2018, University College seek to build its Excellence Fund to create direct to student support programs.
Support for the College Excellence Fund will allow University College to create its first scholarship program and expand access to experiential learning opportunities—helping students not only persist, but thrive. Gifts to University College directly support student access, persistence, and opportunity—helping students stay enrolled, graduate on time, and take part in transformative learning experiences.
