Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support the Mathematics Department today or give to another area that helps the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Ready! Set! Give! On Giving Day, once 10 donors make a gift to any Mathematics fund, a generous $12,000 gift from Jan Berger-Cohn will be unlocked!
The study of mathematics develops critical thinking skills that are useful in most occupations and in many other aspects of our lives.
- Gifts supporting the Mathematics Department Annual Fund help provide department-specific resources. These include expanding the departmentβs ability to support a wide range of experiential learning opportunities, internships, awards for student travel to professional conferences, departmental events and programs, funding for student and faculty research, AI initiatives, and more.
- Contributions to the Mathematics Department Scholarship directly impact students by helping to make education accessible β keeping the department competitive with peers and ensuring that students have the financial support they need to complete their educational programs.
- Gifts to the Professor Pao-Liu Chow Endowed Lectureship in Mathematics will help support costs associated with an annual visiting lecturer. Scholars will present on a variety of mathematical topics for students to learn about different concepts and careers in the field. This lectureship was created in honor of a beloved mathematics professor, Dr. Pao-Liu Chow, who passed away last year.
