The study of languages offers students vibrant opportunities to encounter worlds beyond Detroit. Our goal is to help students learn to think critically about the globalized world and to see it through many cultural, historical and political lenses.
- Gifts supporting the Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Annual Fund provide broad, flexible resources to help the department navigate changes while responding to students’ needs. Our discretionary fund helps us provide department-specific resources for students to become true global citizens by expanding the department’s ability to support student travel awards, internships, departmental events and programs, funding for student and faculty research, and more.
