For the Culture Scholarship
- Double your dollars! The Organization of Black Alumni is matching Giving Day donations to the For the Culture Scholarship — up to $750!
- But thatβs not all! Eboni Ford Turnbow, PhD, WSU alumna, also will provide a dollar-for dollar match, up to $250, for the For the Culture Scholarship.
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships, awards, or prizes to full- and part-time graduate and undergraduate students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and need not demonstrate financial need. Recipients may use awards for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses.
Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated interest in equality, diversity, or social justice for Black Americans by participating in community activities, social groups, community organizations, or WSU registered student organizations (RSOs) that support this focus, which can include but are not limited to: the Black Student Union, National Society of Black Engineers, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Office of Multicultural Student Engagement, National Association of Black Accountants, NAACP, Association of Black Social Workers, The Network, Wayne African Student Society, and Historically Black Fraternities and Sororities. Membership in a WSU Registered Student Organization (RSO) is open to all currently registered WSU students (Policies and guidelines - Dean of Students Office - Wayne State University).
Achieve your charitable goals and create your WSU legacy with a gift in your estate plan.
