Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support the Political Science Department today with a gift to one of these featured projects.
- Ready! Set! Give! Once 25 donors make a gift to the Department of Political Science, a generous gift of $25,000 from Leda Hall will be unlocked!
Majoring in political science is useful to those planning on a career in law, government, politics, education, media, business, healthcare administration, information technology and nonprofit administration. Political science students graduate with versatile analytic and technical skills that prepare them for careers in many fields.
- Richard Elling Fund for Public Administration Education: In 2015, Dr. Richard Elling retired from a 35-year career as a core faculty member for the MPA Program and a Professor of Political Science. Following his retirement, Professor Elling generously established the Richard C. Elling Endowed Fund for Public Administration Education. After his passing in 2017, Dr. Elling's family has continued to honor his memory with a generous gift. Professor Elling had a passion for public administration and the success of the MPA program. Donations to the Elling Fund provide scholarships for MPA students, support MPA student internships, and enable the Program to produce the newsletter.
- Political Science Research and Development Fund: The Political Science Research and Development Fund is one way you can directly help political science students take advantage of all the opportunities the field has to offer. Donations to this fund directly improve the student experience by expanding the departmentโs ability to support a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, including awards for student travel to professional conferences, scholarships to make study abroad opportunities accessible to more of our students, resources to support out-of-the-classroom experiences for our First-year Interest Groups and more.
- Contributions to the Political Science Scholarship directly impact students by helping to make education accessible โ keeping the department competitive with peers and ensuring that students have the financial support they need to complete their educational programs.
