About

Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support the Department of Economics today or give to another area that helps the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Economics is the study of how people allocate scarce resources for production, distribution, and consumption, both individually and collectively. Wayne State's Department of Economics provides students with a rigorous, broad and critical program in theoretical and empirical economics; preparing students to review alternative approaches and evidence to analyze economic phenomena, evaluate policy debate and assess the broader social and political implications and consequences of economic activity.

  • Gifts supporting the Department of Economics Annual Fund help provide department-specific resources; expanding the departmentโ€™s ability to support a wide range of College to Career and educational opportunities, including: awards for student travel to professional conferences, internships, departmental events and programs, funding for student and faculty research, and more.
  • Contributions to the Department of Economics Scholarship Fund directly impact students by helping to make education accessible โ€“ keeping the department competitive with peers and ensuring that students have the financial support they need to complete their educational programs.

Achieve your charitable goals and create your WSU legacy with a gift in your estate plan.
