Study in the biological sciences provides students with fundamental knowledge of biology at molecular, cellular, physiological and ecological levels. Our programs serve to develop and train students to be well-prepared for post-graduate studies as well as for careers in biology-related industry and research sectors.

• Gifts supporting the Biological Sciences Annual Fund help provide department-specific resources for students and faculty to study the intricacies and nuances of life at the cellular and microscopic levels; expanding the department’s ability to support a wide range of College to Career and educational opportunities, including awards for student travel to professional conferences, internships, departmental events and programs, funding for student and faculty research, and more.
• Contributions to the Department of Biological Sciences Scholarship Fund directly impact students by helping to make education accessible – keeping the department competitive with peers and ensuring that students have the financial support they need to complete their educational programs.
• Gifts supporting the Von Berg Fund for the Museum of Natural History provide annual budget support for the curation and display of new exhibits within the museum.
