Health Sciences Division
The John B. Wallace Health Sciences Division offers associate degree and certificate programs designed to prepare students for healthcare careers. Program lengths range from one semester to two academic years (approximately 3 to 24 months). Many of the programs have 100% national board passage rates and job placement.
Admissions Requirements
Admission to Health Sciences Career Education Programs is competitive due to limited space. Selection is based on multiple criteria, including the successful completion of admission prerequisites and interviews conducted by a panel of professionals in the relevant field.
These programs require completion of clinical or practicum experiences as part of the academic curriculum. To participate in these components, students must meet requirements set by clinical site partners, which may include criminal background checks, drug screening, proof of immunizations, and other site-specific requirements.
Time & Financial Requirements
Health Sciences programs include clinical coursework, often requiring students to commit up to 40 hours per week. All programs are full-time programs of study except for Health Information Management, Medical Coding, and Medical Laboratory Technology. Clinical assignments follow schedules aligned with industry standards and may include daytime, evening, or weekend hours.
