The Fellowship Program
is a new, experiential program at Visitation Academy that complements and
expands the traditional classroom curriculum by offering students opportunities
to explore their passions, interests, and skills outside of the classroom.
Activities by Grade Level
Grade 9:
Students will complete
and reflect on a variety of self-discovery assessments to help them identify
their strengths, interests, and academic and career pathways. Additionally,
students will be encouraged to interview professionals in their interest areas.
Alumnae Needs: Willingness to meet (in-person
or virtually) with Visitation students to share your educational and
professional journey.
Grade 10:
Students will
participate in the Fellowship Speaker Series led by alumnae and other community
members who will share their academic, personal, and professional journeys.
Additionally, students will be encouraged to job shadow professionals in their
interest areas.
Alumnae Needs: Share your story in-person at
Visitation Academy as part of our Fellowship Speaker Series. Willingness to
host Visitation students to shadow you at your place of employment.
Grades 11-12 (beginning 2025-2026):
Students will work
with a faculty member to design their Individual Fellowship Experience. They
will engage in activities such as independent research, internships, projects,
or creative pursuits. This experience will allow them to take a deep dive into a
subject that sparks their curiosity, helps them gain practical skills, and
forge connections with experts.
Alumnae Needs: Serve as a Fellowship mentor or sponsor an internship
