Why It Matters
The Wond’ry, Vanderbilt’s Innovation Center, helps ideas move beyond theory into action. Our makerspaces power hands-on creation that’s supported by courses, workshops and individualized guidance from faculty, staff and student Maker Techs. As Vanderbilt’s home for innovation and design, we connect disciplines and guide innovators from insight to implementation through programs like IMPACT. With for-credit courses open to all majors and a new minor in Innovation and Design Strategy, we build innovation fluency across the university. Every experience begins with understanding people, their needs, motivations and contexts, so that what we create is not only new, but meaningful, usable and impactful.
