We are excited to share with you that the choral and trombone students at Valdosta State University have been invited to perform in Portugal in the Summer of 2024, and we could not be more honored and excited. We have been invited to participate in the eighth edition of the Lisbon Music Fest- Lisbon International Youth Music Festival, joining a selected group of youth orchestras, choirs, bands and ensembles.
This Festival, unique and unprecedented in Portugal, brings together talented young musicians from all over the world in fun, fresh and exciting performances in very beautiful venues and historical monuments. To think that we will be representing VSU in the beautiful part of the world is truly incredible.
The experience will boost students as they grow in their musicianship, confidence as performers, and independence. A trip abroad of this caliber sets the VSU experience apart and is a primer for future success. I ask that you consider making a gift to the VSU Chamber Choir in order to make this transformative experience possible.
To perform abroad in these historical places is a dream for most musicians and our students have the opportunity to make that dream become a reality. With your help, our choir can experience a truly once-in-a-lifetime event and make memories that will last a lifetime.
