The recent passing of two members of Utica College's facilities staff has shocked and saddened the entire College community.
Norberto (Norm) Rosado Sr., a member of our Facilities Management staff for 16 years, passed away Dec. 31, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. He was 68. Norm is survived by his wife, Donna; his children and their loves, Tina M. and Donald Bailey, Carmecita Rosado and Rick Reed, Angel and Anita Luckina, and Norberto Rosado, Jr., and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Raymond Rivera passed away on Jan. 2, 2021, at the age of 64, also due to complications from COVID-19. Ray served UC in Facilities Management as the overnight custodian in DePerno Hall. Ray is survived by his partner, Nora Rizzo, his children Amanda, Raymond, Keith, Andrew, Honor, and Kelly, along with many cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
While the COVID-19 cases were not linked, the passing of two valued members of the UC family is a jarring and heartbreaking loss for our community. As Pioneers, we are called to come together and show our support.
Please join in honoring the memories of Norm and Ray by helping to provide their families with immediate assistance for final expenses and other financial hardships they are facing as a result of these tragic deaths.
A gift of any size can make a difference.
