UC is ALLIN4 Academics. Are you?
Be ALLIN4 academics by making a gift to your favorite department or program at Utica College. All departments have faced budget cuts this year, yet needs continue to grow. Learn more about these specific needs below, or give to a school's Dean's Discretionary Fund, which allows deans to direct funding to the school's most urgent priorities.
School of Arts & Sciences: Deanโs Discretionary Fund
- Chemistry: Students in Chemistry use modern instrumentation for molecular analysis, which has led them to be successful in industry and academia after graduation. We want to bring modern instrumentation into our cutting-edge nanochemical projects and develop a nanochemical concentration so that students can learn and use the equipment needed to understand these systems that are of intense industrial and academic interest.
- Computer Science: Computer science has been remodeling two labs on campus to serve the needs of the computer science students. We would like to continue to upgrade these labs with state-of-the art equipment and a facility that serves the needs of the computer science students.
- Public Relations & Journalism: The Tangerine and the Public Relations and Journalism programs are seeking funds to purchase four podcast kits to produce audio storytelling. The funds would help the department purchase microphones, headphones, boonarms, wind screens, and a web hosting site. Cost per kit is approximately $300.
- Communications & Theatre: The current theatre space is becoming too busy for our active student body and performance education goals. There is joint effort of these two departments as they are in the process of developing a Performance Lab to more fully support our communication, music and theatre in creation of experimental, small scale performances to supplement our currently overtaxed mainstage venue in Strebel Student Center.
- WPNR: Students at WPNR have been doing amazing things and working hard to make UC radio the standard for college radio in New York. To continue that professional development we are hoping to raise funds for student conferences, industry membership, and awards submissions fees.
School of Business & Criminal Studies: Deanโs Discretionary Fund
School of Health Sciences & Education: Dean's Discretionary Fund
- Occupational Therapy: The OT Legacy Scholarship fund, once endowed, will provide a yearly scholarship to a graduate student. An additional $10,000 is needed to endow this scholarship. Please consider a gift in honor of the efforts and dedication of our recent faculty retiree Victoria Nackley Battin.
- Adventure & Wellness Education: We are looking to raise $7500 to establish a fund to assist in the purchase of professional attire (polo shirts for all our students) and to offset professional organization dues (student memberships to NYSAHPERD, ACSM, NSCA, etc.).
- Physical Therapy: The physical therapy department is raising money toward the purchase of overhead track and harness systems.
- Therapeutic Recreation: The therapeutic recreation department is raising funds for assistive technology recreation equipment for use by students for learning during class, and using with individuals during collaborative recreation programs with local recreation therapists. There are many examples, such as electronic switches, adapted sports equipment, and virtual reality equipment. We would like to raise $5,000.

Thank you so much for all those that have become ALLIN4UC! It is truly amazing the things we can do when we are ALLIN!
We made our goal of 1000 donors with time to spare! ALLIN4UC officially ends at 9:00 PM EST.
Our top donor for this initiative, Trustee Harry Cynkus '71 is so impressed at how many of you are ALLIN, he wants to see it keep going for the next 3 hours so he will be matching the next 100 gifts up to $50 each. So your $50 gift is worth $100 to UC students.
Share this one last time and keep the Pioneer spirit going! ALLIN4UC - Go Pioneers! #ALLIN4UC
