We’re excited to share how NEHMA’s Mobile Art Truck is making a difference! As an extension of our museum, this “pop-up” gallery travels across the state, bringing interactive art-making activities and thought-provoking exhibitions to students who might not otherwise have the chance to experience them.

Our Mobile Art Truck reaches schools all over Utah, including many in very rural and underserved areas. Last year alone, it connected nearly 12,000 students from 54 schools with the world of art, sparking creativity and curiosity in students of all ages and abilities.
This year, the Mobile Art Truck is featuring a special curriculum inspired by NEHMA’s upcoming exhibition, “Repainting the I: The Intermountain Intertribal Indian School Murals.” These eleven murals, created by students from one of the largest Native American boarding schools in the country, are more than just art—they’re stories of cultural identity and self-expression. By bringing these powerful pieces to schools, we’re helping students explore important history and discover the significance of art in understanding who we are.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to keep the Mobile Art Truck on the road, spreading the magic and joy of art to students throughout Utah. Your generous contribution will ensure that more students have the opportunity to engage with and be inspired by art. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of these young learners.
Thank you for being a part of this journey!
