Thank you for helping the Division of Kinesiology & Health strengthen our next generation of health leaders! Your donations go directly to helping our students seize opportunities to guide and advance their careers.
Your 2025 support helped...
- 9 M.S. students present their research at professional conferences
- 16 Kinesiology & Health Promotion majors attend last year’s Rocky Mountain American College of Sports Medicine Conference
These conferences are where our students make connections that shape their future careers! “Attending the CSCCa conference, passing the SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) exam and receiving this award reinforced my passion for coaching and developing student-athletes,” attests Lance Vermeil Scholarship Award winner, Oscar Martinez.
We are honored to share our 2025/2026 successes with YOU, our Giving Day donors who help our students excel every year!
Last year, we awarded
- 81 B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion
- 12 B.S. in Physical Education Teaching
- 7 Graduate Certificates in Community & Public Health
- 11 M.S. in Kinesiology and Health
Student Success Highlights
- 11 students supported Wyoming schools by serving as student teachers!
- 3 of our students received 2026 American Kinesiology Association Local Scholar Awards
- One student won the prestigious Lance Vermeil Scholarship Award
- A Kinesiology & Health Promotion major earned the unusual honor of being first author on a national report.
- “I can honestly say that I never expected my work to get published or nationally recognized when I started the report,” Devon King, a Physical Education Teaching undergraduate student says. “...To say this is more impactful and meaningful than I ever thought possible would be an understatement...” King presented this work to campus leaders at the March 2026 UW Board of Trustees meeting.
- 2 Graduate Certificate in Community & Public Health students were awarded funding for the WY public health grants they developed in Certificate courses!
