Phi Beta Kappa, founded in 1776, is America’s oldest and most prestigious honor society for excellence in liberal arts and science. UW’s Alpha Chapter, chartered in 1940, proudly continues that tradition and annually inducts UW’s highest achieving students into our society.

Your gift on Giving Day funds events and scholarships that recognize high academic achievements for a wide range of participants. Here’s an example of what your gift could support. Annually, we award scholarships for outstanding presentations at UW’s Undergraduate Research and Inquiry Day. We honor students who are already Phi Beta Kappa members. Giving Day funds for scholarships and guest speakers benefit all of UW.

Thanks to your support, scholars will have more opportunities for recognition and participation. Let’s set our sights even higher—this year’s goal is to have 25 donors for a total of $1,000.
