Paid student internships are linked to higher education outcomes, a stronger commitment to work and internship placement, and less stress at home and school.
Payment for Placements (P4P) is a nationwide movement calling for all social work students to be paid for their degree-required internships. Our chapter, created just this year, was started by social work students who understand and experience the difficulties and stress of caring for family, working, interning, and getting an education simultaneously. Our mission and advocacy go beyond a social work education to address and support all UW students interning per their degree requirements.
Your gift on Giving Day helps fund our chapter to advocate and support students as they obtain their degree at the University of Wyoming. Donations will allow P4P to provide research on payment opportunities for social work students to avoid financial hardship. Generous donations also allow P4P to engage in action on campus and build membership and power.
We cannot do this valuable grassroots work without your help. Thank you!
