Your Giving Day support of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages has statewide and worldwide impacts.
Our World Languages Day event, held the first weekend of March, draws students from all corners of Wyoming to the UW campus to demonstrate their language skills, to participate in informative workshops, and to communicate and increase their language proficiency. Donor funds are used to pay for student meals, t-shirts, and workshop materials.
Modern and Classical Languages is one of the largest units for Study Abroad opportunities at UW. Students earn UW credit in classes led by our own faculty to China, Germany, Japan, Spain, and several Latin American countries. Our new interdisciplinary bachelorâs in European languages, literature, and film studies allows wide-ranging European language and cultural studies.
Departmental faculty and graduate students attend Wyoming Association of Language Teachers conventions annually to broaden our connections with Wyoming teachers and students statewide.
Merci, danke, and muchas gracias for making statewide and worldwide study and travel possible for our students and faculty!
