- The Dr. Kaitlyn Root Memorial Scholarship Fund ā Dr. Kaitlyn Root, a sociology lecturer, passed away unexpectedly last fall at the age of 32. Kaitlyn was an exceptional instructor who cared deeply for her students, which shone through in every lesson and left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to learn from her. She was a strong advocate for first-generation students and worked tirelessly to help students realize their potential. Your gift will help us establish endowment to honor Dr. Rootās legacy through the creation of a scholarship in her name.
