The Cathy Connolly Student Enrichment Fund has been established to recognize Cathy’s tremendous contribution to the state, to the University of Wyoming, and especially to the Gender and Women’s Studies Program in the School of Culture, Gender, and Social Justice.
Dr. Cathy Connolly served the Gender and Women’s Studies Program at the University of Wyoming for three decades. Dr. Connolly was widely recognized for her research in the areas of second-parent adoptions, LGBTQ+ rights, and the gender-wage gap. From 2008–22, Dr. Connelly served in the Wyoming House of Representatives representing House District 13 in Laramie, and she ultimately served as the Minority Leader of the Wyoming House. Throughout her career, Dr. Connolly was a supportive and rigorous mentor to students and won numerous recognitions for outstanding teaching and service.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the Cathy Connolly Student Enrichment Fund, a grassroots endowment established to support students in Gender and Women’s Studies and Queer Studies in the School of Culture, Gender, and Social Justice.
We sincerely appreciate all donations, and thank you on behalf of our students!
