Support your local herbarium! 

Help to inspire and prepare the next generation of botanists and continue the stewardship of our natural resources by giving to the Rocky Mountain Herbarium Excellence Fund. Your gift will directly support hands-on student learning in both the herbarium and in the field.

As the largest herbarium in the Rocky Mountain Region, we are a focal point for collections-based botanical research, education, and outreach at UW. Our 1.4 million specimens represent an irreplaceable archive of the plant and fungal diversity in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountains through space and time. The Rocky Mountain Herbarium facilitates the University of Wyoming’s land-grant mission by providing an innovative and accessible botanical resource and cultivating a group of inspired and engaged citizens, students, and scientists. You can learn more about the herbarium and its impact at www.rockymountainherbarium.org. 

Thanks to a generous challenge gift from Hollis Marriott—research associate and longtime friend and supporter—50 donors will unlock an additional $2,500 to support herbarium research, teaching, and outreach activities. Each gift, no matter the size, will help us reach this goal.
