Hunger wears many faces in Wyoming—from children to young adults, parents to older adults, and every stage in between. Feeding America estimates that 1 in 7 people in Wyoming are food insecure, and that’s a statistic UW Extension’s Cent$ible Nutrition Program is determined to change. Your donation to our Under Pressure project will make a direct impact on the lives of Wyomingites struggling with food insecurity.
Under Pressure provides Wyomingites facing food insecurity with an Instant Pot. Instant Pots help people use available and affordable foods, like dry beans, which are also some of the most difficult and time-consuming to prepare. Through Cent$ible Nutrition’s Under Pressure project, people improve their food security by using the Instant Pot to cook at home more often and utilize their food resources more effectively. We’re aiming to raise funds to purchase 75 Instant Pots and to start developing a sustainable source of funding to keep this project going.
