Alpha Tau Alpha is a national professional honorary organization focusing on agricultural education. It plays a vital role in the preparation of those who have chosen a major in agricultural education and promotes the highest standards of ag ed.
Our Wyoming Alpha Tau Alpha chapter regularly engages in professional development opportunities with other ag teachers from around the nation. These, in addition to our university course work, aid in developing our teacher skill sets and allow us to anecdotally experience the classrooms and ag programs of other successful ag teachers—garnering tips and tricks to take with us into our own future classrooms.
We also regularly volunteer with the Wyoming State FFA Association. Assisting in the hosting, facilitation, and judging of different statewide camps and contests gives us a detailed behind-the-scenes view of what goes on in the teacher side of FFA rather than our previous perspectives as past ag students.
