The UW Club Cycling Team provides an opportunity for cyclists to enjoy and grow in their sport. The University of Wyoming is part of the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference. The club races in Wyoming, New Mexico, and Colorado at events hosted by other schools in the conference. Club members often have the opportunity to help conduct a race at some point in the year.
The team attends mountain bike races in the fall, which include downhill, short track, dual slalom, and cross country disciplines. In addition to racing, the team hosts weekly practices, regular group rides, and frequent skills competitions. The club also runs a Spring Break Mountain Bike Trip to Moab, Utah. Club members may participate with the team as a racer or just to practice with the club.
The Cycling Team campaign this Giving Day is going toward helping the team expand their competitive season to include Road Cycling. This will be the first road cycling season that the team competes in. Any donations to this campaign will allow us to pay for the additional expenses that come with a road cycling season, such as player registration, race fees, and lodging and travel costs.
Thank you!
