Support Innovation for All at the University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming’s Coe Student Innovation Center is the flagship makerspace of UW’s hub of student innovation, the UW Innovation Network (UWIN). Since opening in 2017, we have empowered students and community members with access to cutting-edge technology to fuel their creativity. Our offerings include 3D printing, laser engraving, advanced arts and crafts, stained glass, sewing and textiles, vinyl cutting, robotics, CAD modeling, circuit kits, and more. We also extend our services statewide through online resources, ensuring everyone can participate in the innovation economy.

By supporting our Giving Day campaign, donors will help us foster creative and inclusive learning within our makerspace. Our commitment to inclusivity means creating a welcoming space where everyone—regardless of background, experience, or identity—can feel at home. We believe that diverse perspectives enhance creativity and innovation, and we strive to ensure that all community members have equal access to our resources and programs.

A key part of our mission is our weekly GeekOUT event—a welcoming after-hours event open to all. Each week, our skilled Makerspace Techs guide attendees through a curated hands-on project, offering opportunities to explore new creative techniques and tools. Whether working on arts and crafts or advanced technologies like robotics and machine learning, participants are supported in bringing their ideas to life. GeekOUT is more than just a creative workshop—it’s a space where students and community members can come together, connect, and share knowledge in a fun and supportive environment.
