This UW Giving Day, with your help ASUW will be raising money for the Cowboy Emergency Fund, also known as the ASUW Family Emergency Fund.
The Cowboy Emergency Fund is a fund that is held in trust for University of Wyoming students. The purpose of the fund is to help any UW student who encounters an emergency during the school year, and that emergency imposes a financial hardship on the student. In the event that a student finds themselves in a situation where they are in dire need of financial assistance, they may submit an application for use of the funds to cover their financial needs in a time of emergency.
The fund currently has significantly less funds than the need. Funds are so low at the moment that in the event that a student suffered an emergency, it is unlikely that the Cowboy Emergency Fund could help the student.
We hope that you consider donating to this cause this Giving Day so that ASUW can build the Cowboy Emergency Fund back to a level that will allow the fund to serve its purpose—helping UW students in a time of need. Thank you for your support!
