University of Wyoming Club Swimming provides an environment promoting healthy body and mind so that participants can maintain a desired level of swimming competition while also building relationships with others of similar interests.
We welcome swimmers of all levels to our team, from beginner to ex-varsity! Everyone including undergraduates, grad students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join. UW Club Swimming competes against other swim clubs from nearby colleges and universities in Colorado, Utah, Nebraska, and Kansas as a part of College Club Swimming. Participation in swim meets and practices is encouraged, but not required—swimmers may practice as often or as little as desired, and workouts can be adjusted to meet one's own needs! Our team provides the framework for swimmers to enjoy the sport together.
UW Club Swimming was founded in November 2019 by a handful of undergraduate and graduate students and one very dedicated
chemistry professor, all eager to share their combined enthusiasm for the sport of swimming. UW Club Swimming's first competition was at the Spring Ram Invite in February 2020, hosted by Colorado State University. Of the 13 schools in attendance, UW placed 10th and won two individual events, the 50 backstroke and 50 breaststroke. In January 2021, Club Swimming gained official recognition as a University of Wyoming Club Sport.
Thank you for considering supporting the amazing athletes in UW Club Swimming!
