Support Project Success on Titans Day of Giving
Project Success is a remedial program for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities and/or attentional disabilities attending UW Oshkosh. The program has a strong history of providing individualized, best-practice support to participants. There is no charge for Project Success services, above and beyond the cost of tuition at UWO.
We are among a handful of schools nationwide that offer a remedial program rather than a tutorial assistance program. Our staff works with students to assist them in developing skills to become academically independent.
- In the last 10 years, 620 Project Success students have graduated from UWO.
- In 2023-2024, 86% of our students were in good academic standing.
- Project Success students are pursuing degrees within all four academic colleges and in a wide array of programs, including graduate programs.
Donations for Project Success support our students through student lab technology, assistive technology, increased tutoring lab availability, social/community-building activities, and peer mentoring opportunities. A significant portion of our donations go towards student scholarships. In Fall 2023 alone, we awarded $8,000 to students through the Robert T. Nash, Ray Van Garsse, and Zeeh Family Scholarship funds. Since 2018, 47 awards have been disbursed, totaling $38,000 of tuition assistance.
Project Success donations enhance the technology and support opportunities necessary for our mission of helping students to gain academic independence, which also begins preparing them for their professional lives outside of the University.
Many thanks to the more than 350 donors who have contributed to our Titans Day of Giving 2024 campaign. We're currently at 78% of our $100,000 goal.
