Support the Honors College on Titans Day of Giving

The UW Oshkosh Honors College fosters a community in which high-achieving students experience the best educational practices. We offer an exciting curriculum with devoted instructors who teach small, interactive seminars and team-taught classes. Honors students engage in mentored research, have personalized advising, and they have the option to study abroad. Our students also interact with faculty through our many co-curricular events, and they can elect to live on the Honors floor of a residence hall. Through these and other high-impact practices, Honors students receive the benefits of a small liberal arts college in addition to the opportunities presented by a comprehensive university.

This fall, the Honors College is welcoming its largest incoming class to date. By making a contribution to the Honors College Excellence Fund you can enhance the experiences of these exceptional students and support programs like the Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship.

The Honors College offers one of its core requirements, HNRS 275Q: Culture Connection, as a three-week study abroad program held over interim each January and May. This program offers Honors students the exciting opportunity to engage deeply with the arts in locations such as Edinburgh, London, and Paris, while studying history, philosophy, and literature. At the same time, students expand their development as writers by preparing and workshopping a series of papers about the events they attend.

This program, celebrating its tenth year in 2024, provides Honors students a fantastic and memorable way to improve their writing and to build on their cultural experiences in cities famous for the arts. The Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship brings this opportunity for educational and personal growth within reach for Honors students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate.
