Support the College of Nursing During Titans Day of Giving
The UW Oshkosh College of Nursing provides students the expert knowledge, clinical practice skills and critical thinking ability necessary for success in today's healthcare industry. Students learn from faculty who are actively practicing and keeping up with industry standards; the simulation and skills lab offers students safe yet realistic learning experiences before going out into the field to work with real clients; and the College has strong partnerships with major healthcare agencies in the region. These lead to strong outcomes with consistently high national licensure pass rates and job placement rates.
Nursing students practice techniques in four simulation suites that are flexibly designed to accommodate training in medical/surgical acute care, emergency room, trauma bay, obstetrics, operating room, clinic and home environments.
Your donation to the Lab Modernization Project will help us:
• Update or replace the physical tools of the lab, including lifelike “manikins,” intelligent needling systems, ultrasound simulations, and wearables for standardized patients.
• Expand our virtual learning options, including on-site VR instruction and remote video-based coaching.
• Offer opportunities for realistic clinical experiences, rehearsal of procedures both in the lab and remotely, and reflection through debriefing and feedback.
With the critical shortage of health care workers across the state, it is imperative that the UWO College of Nursing simulation and skills lab remains an innovative and dynamic source of learning.
You may choose to designate your support for the general College of Nursing Fund, which provides resources for new initiatives as well as ongoing program needs.
A key objective for the College is investment in professional development opportunities for CON faculty and staff, to empower and equip them to support nursing students. Strategic priorities include Aging Healthy initiatives to inspire and realize faculty, staff and student ideas to support healthy aging.
The College of Nursing Fund offers opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to pursue their aspirations, all directed towards caring for others.
Thank you!
Many thanks to the more than 350 donors who have contributed to our Titans Day of Giving 2024 campaign. We're currently at 78% of our $100,000 goal.
We've extended the campaign through this weekend so there's still time to donate, create matches and challenges and share on social media.
Help push us over the top by making your contribution before midnight on September 15!
