About

The Virginia Athletics Foundation is Elevating Excellence! Join us and support our student-athletes competing for all 27 of our varsity teams during Hoos Giving, a 34-hour giving “day” from 9 a.m. April 11 through 7 p.m. April 12.

These 34 hours serve as a time for our donors, fans, parents, student-athletes, staff, and friends to join us in celebrating not only our 34 NCAA team National Championships but each and every one of our programs that finds success both on and off the fields of play.

You can give to your favorite teams or you can donate to our unrestricted VAF Annual Fund, giving us the opportunity to put funds where they are most needed and ensuring all teams and student-athletes receive the support they may need.

Throughout the campaign, we will be giving away some awesome prizes so stay tuned on social media @virginiaathleticsfoundation.

Your contribution to Hoos Giving will support our student-athletes in several ways, but most importantly and directly, your gift will impact scholarships.

Scholarships Change Lives. Our student-athletes are not only the recipients of the outstanding education they receive from UVA, but they are also ambassadors of Virginia Athletics through their performance on the field and in the classroom, participation in the Charlottesville community, and then beyond in their own professional development and leadership opportunities after their time at Virginia.

Spread the word, encourage others to get involved, and win some great prizes. In order to be successful and meet our $500,000 goal, we need you!

Join our campaign as an advocate to assist in sharing Hoos Giving with fans, friends, and future VAF members! See below for five easy steps to join!

  • Create an Account (or if you already have one, log in!)
    1. We can only celebrate your hard work if we're able to tell it's you! And we do that by tracking outreach done when you're logged in to GiveCampus.
    2. Click 'Log In' at the top of the page and create an account from there!
  • Consider Your Own Gift
    1. Lead by example and make your own gift early. It’s much easier to ask your friends and family to join you in making a gift when you’ve already done it yourself!
  • Offer a Match (or Challenge)
    1. Leverage your gift and encourage others to give via a match or challenge.
    2. Consider restricting your match or challenge by your class year, affiliation, or to a list of your friends (by email address) to raise the stakes!
  • Share, Share, Share!
    1. The built-in sharing buttons on the campaign page generate a link that is unique to you. If you share while you're logged in, we can track it and celebrate your impact!
    2. Share via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Text Message, Email, Phone Call, Carrier Pigeon… The sky’s the limit!
  • Tell Your Story
    1. Create a personal plea and post it to the campaign page!
    2. Film a quick video in which you tell your community why you’re excited about the campaign and why others should get involved! Keep it quick, casual, and fun!

THANK YOU for your support and for being a part of our team. We could not do what we do without you!
