WRUV has been the voice of the University of Vermont for over 70 years. Since flipping the switch in 1955, we have grown in size, changed locations, and switched to FM. WRUV is now hosted in the Dudley H. Davis Center and hosts the largest music library in Vermont, a production room, on-air booth, office, some great couches, and your favorite non-commercial music.
While we may have had some changes over the years, we are still, at the heart, your better alternative. This is significantly thanks to our incredible community of listeners, alumni, and donors who have supported us the whole time.
Your gift ensures that we can continue building a better infrastructure for the future, funding a community hub for our DJs, and allows us to send our executive board to conferences this year and the next.
Conferences give us the chance to learn from our peers at other college radio stations, but they also give us a chance to show off! We know our (bi-weekly) live-band program Exposure is an award-worthy show, and we want to share it with the world and put our name on the map. Support from donors gives us the chance to highlight the awesome job our current DJs are doing and demonstrate our importance to the UVM and Burlington communities.
