What is OLLI Giving Day?
OLLI offers engaging, affordable learning opportunities for adults 50 and better, and is part of a national network of more than 120 Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes dedicated to lifelong learning.
For more than 20 years, across seven locations in Vermont, something special has been happening. People gather in OLLI classrooms to explore new ideas—history, science, art, current events—and just as importantly, to connect with one another. Many members say OLLI gives them something to look forward to: a chance to stay curious, meet new people, and be part of a vibrant learning community.
What many don’t realize is that membership fees don’t cover the full cost of these programs. OLLI is supported by program revenue, university support, its endowment, and generous gifts from members and friends. Those donations make a real difference—they help keep programs affordable, bring inspiring speakers to communities across Vermont, and expand access to lifelong learning, including in more remote areas.
This year, our goal is simple: 75 donors. Reaching that milestone will help grow OLLI’s participation and strengthen the community that makes this program so special. Nationally, about 14.5% of OLLI members give back—at UVM, that number is closer to 5%. With your help, we can close that gap.
How can I make my OLLI Giving Day gift?
Give online
You can give online using this campaign page. Just select "Make a Gift." The giving form will ask you to fill out your contact information, and then to pay, you can select any of the digital wallet options (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, etc.) or select "Go to Checkout" to put in your credit card information.

Give another way
If you prefer to give by mail, make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA, or use another method, please make a pledge first so your gift can count toward our goal.
