For 25 years, the UVM Horse Barn has served as a one-of-a-kind educational facility—offering students the rare opportunity to bring their horse with them to college while learning essential skills in equine management, teamwork, and leadership.
This place is more than a barn. It’s a living classroom, a tight-knit community, and a launching pad for careers in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture, and beyond. Over the past 25 years, the barn has shaped hundreds of student experiences through hands-on learning, shared responsibility, and a deep commitment to animal care.
As we mark this exciting milestone, we’re launching a fundraising campaign to preserve and strengthen the future of the UVM Horse Barn Co-Op.
Your gift will help us:
- Fund critical maintenance and improvements to the barn facilities
- Ensure the long-term sustainability of our programming
- Expand opportunities for future students to participate in this unique learning environment
And when you give today, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar for the first $2,300 thanks to generous supporters of the barn. Thank you to Amanda Drobnis '06, Nicole Grainger Semales '06 Courtney French '07G'10, Diana Fischer '08, and Jessie Tonry '09.
Whether you’re an alum, a parent, or a member of the wider equine or UVM community, we hope you will join us in celebrating this anniversary by investing in the next 25 years of experiential learning at the barn.
