Women's Ice Hockey

Support UVM Women's Ice Hockey during Catamount Challenge 2026 and help us reach our $30,000 goal! Make your gift by Monday, October 26, and provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed on and off the ice.

This year, we're highlighting three important areas of support for UVM Women's Ice Hockey. No matter which fund you choose, your generosity helps us build a stronger program and provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes.

🏒 Women's Ice Hockey Excellence Fund

The Excellence Fund provides essential support for our student-athletes, from travel and equipment to training and other day-to-day program needs. Your contribution gives our coaches the flexibility to address emerging priorities and provide resources that enhance the student-athlete experience throughout the season and offseason.

🏒 Women's Ice Hockey Recruitment & Retention Fund

In the changing landscape of college athletics, having dedicated resources for recruitment and retention is critical to attracting and keeping top talent. This fund helps UVM Women's Ice Hockey remain competitive in recruiting talented student-athletes and retaining the players who are essential to our program's future success.

🏒 First Five Years Women's Hockey Fund

Before Women's Ice Hockey became a varsity program at UVM, a pioneering group of women came together in 1975 to establish a club team. With limited resources, borrowed equipment, and a shared love of the game, these women and their coaches laid the foundation for the program we know today.

Created to honor the players and coaches from those first five years (1975-1980), this new fund celebrates their legacy while providing flexible, current-use support for today's varsity team. Your gift honors the women who started it all while investing in the future of UVM Women's Ice Hockey.

🏆 Help Us Win Additional Funding!

Your gift also helps Women's Ice Hockey compete against UVM's other varsity teams for up to $5,000 in additional funding!

Teams and programs can win:

• $2,500 for most overall donors
• $1,500 for most dollars raised
• $1,000 for most alumni donors

Any gift of $5 or more counts toward the competition!

There are just two simple rules:

1. One gift per person, per team counts toward the donor competitions, but you can support as many teams as you'd like!
2. Don't make gifts on behalf of others. Instead, become an advocate and spread the word!

Every gift directly supports UVM Women's Ice Hockey and helps our student-athletes succeed, both on the ice and in the classroom.

Make your gift today and help us reach our goals!

Note: Gifts made during Catamount Challenge do not qualify for Victory Club benefits.
