Support UVM Men's Basketball during Catamount Challenge 2026 and help us reach our $55,000 goal! Make your gift by Monday, October 26, and provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed on and off the court.
This year, we have several exciting opportunities to make your gift go even further!
🏀 Barry Stone Recruitment & Retention Fund
Established in honor of the late Barry Stone '56, this fund helps UVM Men's Basketball recruit and retain top talent in the changing landscape of college athletics.
If we raise $45,000 for the Barry Stone Fund during Catamount Challenge, a generous supporter has pledged an additional $30,000!
To help us reach that goal, another donor has offered a two-for-one match, contributing $2 for every $1 donated to the fund, up to $30,000 in matching funds.
Together, these opportunities could generate $75,000 for our recruitment and retention efforts!
🏀 Men's Basketball Excellence Fund
The Excellence Fund provides essential support for our student-athletes, from travel and equipment to other day-to-day program needs.
If we raise $10,000 for the Men's Basketball Excellence Fund during Catamount Challenge, we'll unlock an additional $10,000 challenge gift!
To help us reach that goal, another supporter has offered to match the first $5,000 in gifts to the fund, dollar for dollar.
Together, these opportunities could generate $20,000 for the Excellence Fund!
🏆 Help Us Win Additional Funding!
Your gift also helps Men's Basketball compete against UVM's other varsity teams for up to $5,000 in additional funding!
Teams and programs can win:
- $2,500 for most overall donors
- $1,500 for most dollars raised
- $1,000 for most alumni donors
Any gift of $5 or more counts toward the competition!
There are just two simple rules:
- One gift per person, per team counts toward the donor competitions, but you can support as many teams as you'd like!
- Don't make gifts on behalf of others. Instead, become an advocate and spread the word!
No matter which fund you choose, your generosity directly supports UVM Men's Basketball and helps our student-athletes succeed, both on the court and in the classroom.
