The Surgical Knowledge and Integration (S.K.I.) Lab is one of the nation’s premier university-based surgical training and research facilities. This state-of-the-art environment gives orthopaedic residents, fellows, faculty, and researchers hands-on opportunities to refine surgical skills, test new techniques, and explore innovative solutions long before they reach the operating room.

Beyond training, the S.K.I. Lab plays a critical role in advancing orthopaedic research. It serves as a hub for discovery, where investigators can prototype implants, evaluate new technologies, and conduct clinical and translational studies that directly influence patient care. Much of this work is strengthened through close collaboration with the L.S. Peery Orthopaedic Innovation Center, where engineering, design, and clinical expertise come together to accelerate breakthroughs.
