The following initiatives support wholistic health and well-being across campus:
Center for Campus Wellness
We have a simple mission: to support student well-being and success through holistic and comprehensive programs that center wellness, safety, and healing. We are committed to empowering students with the wellness tools they need to succeed – both during their time on campus and in their future careers. Student well-being is foundational for academic and personal success and funds raised during Giving Day will support ongoing programming and growth for Campus Wellness such as:
- The Victim-Survivor Advocacy’s Survivor Support Fund which helps survivors of violence, abuse, and harm access urgent support for their healing and safety
- Scholarships for students developing health and wellness programs that supports their peers
- The new Spiritual Wellness program which provides individual guidance and support helping students find their purpose and build connections
- Alcohol and substance use prevention work such as expanded Naloxone training and supplies to save a life
- Other health and wellness programs that prioritize mental health, build lifelong skills, and nurture connections.

University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center supports student well-being and success by providing therapeutic, developmental, and preventive services and programs. Students have access to individual, relationship and group counseling, as well as psychiatric and crisis services. Through our programming and outreach efforts, we provide mental health and well-being focused programs and events, including the annual Chalk Art festival, Healing Arts Exhibit, and workshop series. Our efforts are focused on education, intervention and prevention.
Students and other members of the campus community can meet our newest staff member, Volley - our 3-year-old therapy dog, at weekly “Visits with Volley” events on campus. In addition, Volley is part of the UCC animal assisted therapy program, participating in both individual and group therapy. Donations to the UCC help in our efforts to support students in achieving better mental health well-being (and buys treats for Volley!).

Campus Recreation Services
At Campus Recreation, we are committed to providing the best possible recreational opportunities for the University of Utah students. All matriculated students have access to Eccles Student Life Center fitness area, pools, gyms and climbing walls. However, specialized programs and adventure trips require a fee. We believe every student deserves access to the resources and support they need to succeed, regardless of their financial situation.
These Giving Days, we are raising funds to help make recreational initiatives more accessible for students with financial need. This initiative would off-set partial payment for student recreational programs, such as fitness classes, outdoor trips, intramural sports, climbing classes and swim lessons. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering a donation to Campus Recreation Services. Your generosity can make a significant impact on the lives of our students.

Financial Wellness Center
Our Financial Wellness Center fosters a community of care where students, faculty, and staff can access the financial education, services, and support they need to thrive. Rooted in a commitment to holistic well‑being, we help reduce financial stressors that impact academic persistence.
These Giving Days, your donation supports:
- Individualized financial counseling and coaching that help campus community members navigate financial decisions, overcome barriers, and build skills that support stability, well‑being, and degree completion.
- Financial education workshops and campuswide programming that strengthen knowledge in budgeting, credit, student loans, housing, planning ahead, and other foundational topics that shape long‑term financial wellness.
- Peer mentor and educator programs offering professional development, national certifications, and collaborative learning opportunities that prepare student leaders for meaningful future careers.

Center for Disability and Access
The Center for Disability & Access supports students with disabilities at the University of Utah by providing access to coursework, programs, and activities that support students' overall academic and career goals. There are several opportunities to assist students
- Fund a Diagnostic Assessment - For many students, the first barrier to success is the cost of a diagnostic assessment ($1500) Without health insurance or financial resources, some students may never receive the assessment they need to access accommodations. Your gift to the CDA will directly support students by helping to cover the cost of initial assessments. These assessments help students understand their strengths, identify challenges, and develop strategies to overcome barriers, and thrive in their coursework.
- Provide calming tools to students
- $25 funds calming/fidget tools
- $50 funds noise reducing headphones for students to use
- $100 funds a student led activity like Craft and Connect
- $100 funds refreshments at a student led activity for students with disabilities
