Gifts to Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine contribute to...
At the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, we are committed to supporting our students, alumni, faculty and staff, and the community as a whole. This Giving Day, our goal is to raise $5,000 with your support to give back to student scholarships, the student-led clinics, and the Alumni Association Gift Fund. Through you, we're able to make a difference in the lives of our students and the greater community at large.
Student Scholarships
By supporting student scholarships, you are lessening the financial burden of tomorrow's medical professionals and investing in a healthier future for all.
Arielle Melen, a 2024 graduate, shares the impact that a scholarship can make.
"Students, especially at the graduate level of training, have worked really hard and have made a lot of sacrifices to get there. At the same time, life outside of school continues moving forward. When students have the opportunity to offset some of their tuition with scholarship funds, it really can take an immense pressure off. Whether you have a family, or are dealing with illness, or other things going on outside of medicine, any sort of contribution financially can help alleviate pressure."
Student-Led Clinics
Aligned with our mission to serve all people and communities in Utah, our student-led clinic network connects students with communities facing significant physician shortages. These clinics provide medical and PA students with valuable hands-on experience, allowing them to practice in a variety of specialties and gain a broad understanding of medicine and the healthcare system. Funds will primarily support student research and scholarship efforts in the clinics, statistical analyses, travel to national conferences, and educational development.

Alumni Association Gift Fund
The Alumni Association Gift Fund provides vital resources to enhance the student experience, including scholarships, student wellness initiatives, financial assistance, and improvements to student spaces. It has already helped fund critical projects such as the student emergency fund, stethoscopes for incoming students, scholarships, and the remodeling of student study areas—all made possible through your generosity.
Jayme Warner, a second-year student, shares how impactful the stethoscope she received has been in her studies.
"I use my stethoscope every day...it's like my number one tool. The only two things that I make sure that I have when I go to the hospital is my stethoscope and my badge. It helps to have the tools to give you the opportunity to learn and grow."
