Challenges are a great way to show your support. Be the first!
Offer a ChallengeThe George Floyd Memorial Scholarship was established by The University of Toledo in response to a challenge set for all universities by Scott Hagan, president of North Central University. Dr. Hagan has called on universities across the nation to create scholarships to help put an end to the issues of systemic racism. More than 30 colleges and universities have answered the challenge.
This scholarship will be awarded to a University of Toledo student with demonstrated financial need, who also has a grade point average of at least 2.5, and has demonstrated involvement in initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and/or social justice with a preference to students of underrepresented minority populations.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of our University. We believe our diversity makes us stronger, and we work daily to create an inclusive and equitable environment for all our students, faculty, and staff. It is through collaboration with people from backgrounds different than our own that allows us to excel in education, research and economic development, and to contribute to society.
Please consider a gift to this scholarship to support The University of Toledo’s core values of diversity, equity and inclusion.
