COVID-19 has impacted the lives of millions across the country, including our UToledo students. In the wake of this new reality, The University of Toledo is asking for donations to our Rocket to Rocket Fund, or to the UT Student Food Pantry Fund, to aid students who are now finding themselves with financial struggles they never saw coming.
Right now:
- 1159 students who worked on campus are now out of a job
- Student employees worked an average of 21 hours per week, and many held off-campus jobs, too
- 125 students who cannot return to their countries or whom have been displaced and will need to remain on campus
- The average apartment rent in Toledo is nearly $600 per month
- The average electric bill is almost $100 per month
By supporting the Rocket to Rocket Fund, you can help us provide our students:
- Funds for unmet financial costs due to loss of employment
- Food, toiletries, medical bills
- Any educational-related expenses as students move to online classes
Students can apply for up to $500 in aid.
Support may also be directed specifically to our UT Food Pantry Fund to assist students experiencing food insecurities.
Thank you in advance for ensuring our UToledo students have the resources they need to continue to be healthy and successful.
Make your gift today to be the difference in the life of an UToledo student.
