About

We are committed to preparing our students to thrive as leaders in the fashion industry, an industry that demands both academic excellence and real‑world experience. One of the most transformative opportunities we offer is the chance for students to engage directly with the heart of the fashion world in New York City.

Each year, our students travel to NYC to attend the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation conference, participate in its annual University Challenge, meet industry professionals, and pursue competitive internships. These experiences open doors that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom. They build confidence, expand networks, and often shape the trajectory of a student’s career.

However, many of these opportunities come with significant financial barriers. Conference travel, lodging, and unpaid internships in New York City can be out of reach for many students.

This is where your generosity can make a profound difference. We are raising funds to create a dedicated NYC Career & Networking Support Fund. Your contribution will help ensure that every student, regardless of financial background, can take advantage of these life‑changing experiences.

Funds raised may be allocated in two key ways:

  1. NRFF Conference Attendance: Supporting travel and participation for students whose interest in retail, fashion, and consumer behavior aligns with this nationally recognized event.
  2. NYC Internship Support: Providing assistance for students completing unpaid or underpaid internships in New York City, where cost of living can be a major barrier for students.

By contributing to this general NYC fund, you give us the flexibility to meet students where the need is greatest each year. As the number of students attending NRFF continues to grow and as internship opportunities fluctuate each year, your support ensures we can respond dynamically and equitably. Your gift directly expands access, opens doors, and helps our students step confidently into the industry they aspire to lead
