Help us combat food insecurity!

Who We Are

UT Outpost is the free on-campus food pantry and career closet for all currently enrolled students at UT Austin. Emergencies and financial hardships can affect students in and outside of class. UT Outpost is here to support students with healthy food and gently used professional clothing.

Grand Opening

What We're Fundraising For

Food insecurity makes it difficult for students to stay in class and succeed. According to the Fall 2023 National College Health Assessment, 43.7% of UT students have experienced some form of food insecurity; and 19.7% of those students experienced very low food security. UT Outpost food pantry provides free and nutritious food for students so that they can focus on their education.

We are fundraising to support the weekly purchase of fresh and shelf stable food items to keep the food pantry stocked. UT Outpost is also launching a Food Support Fund that will be used to provide meal cards to students who need support accessing hot meals on campus. This campaign will allocate 25% of funds raised to the newly established Food Support Fund.

Your Impact

Your support will help UT Outpost continue its mission of combatting food insecurity for college students. UT Outpost has seen a record breaking number of visitors this year, with averages of 450-500 student visits per week. Access to nutritious food makes a dramatic impact on the lives of our students; with nourishment, they are able to focus on their studies and move closer towards changing the world.

"The Outpost is such an amazing resource on campus. Being a college student can be incredibly taxing—both mentally and financially—so having a resource specifically designed to support students is invaluable. Knowing there’s a place that can help ease even the smallest bit of stress about where my next meal will come from or how I’ll afford it makes a huge difference in life and makes the college experience easier."

"UT Outpost has greatly supported me through the hardest time of my life."
