The University of St. Thomas Men's Basketball Team is gearing up and embarking on a fundraising campaign that needs your support as we are looking to have continued success both on and off the court.
Last season, the Celts men’s basketball program had a historic season, finishing with a record of 23-4 on the court. In conference play, the team achieved an unbeaten 16-0 record, a feat that has never been done before in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference history, and won the 2023 SCAC regular season championship. This was the program’s third regular season championship, along with 2 SCAC tournament championships the program has won in the last four seasons. In addition to a conference championship, the team earned an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament in the school’s first year of eligibility and climbed as high as number 12 in the country according to D3hoops.com national rankings. Leading the men’s basketball team, head coach Anthony Medina was named SCAC and NABC Region X coach of the year. Guard Calvin Williams earned SCAC Player of the Year and was NABC Second Team All-American, while wing Nick Anderson was named to SCAC Second Team All-Conference.
The men’s basketball program is excited for the 2023-24 season. Your support and generosity are crucial in helping us reach our goals. With your assistance, we can continue to excel in our athletic endeavors on the court, succeed in the classroom, and contribute to the St. Thomas community.
