Peer Ministry

Peer Ministry student leaders promote faith and community through programming and intentional relationship building. We host events including Pancakes with Jesus and All Saints Day, as well as small groups crafted by each Peer Minister.

We are seeking funds to:

• Engage students in "bigger" events, such as subsidizing student travel to conferences or going on retreats with students
• Improve the end-of-year ball we host
• Get resources to support engaging events on campus, rosaries for prayer and books for studies and prayer

A Note from Peer Minister, Nadia Khumbah '27

"In my search for a community that felt like home away from home, I found Peer Ministry, a part of Campus Ministry that has become one of the highlights of my college experience. The mission of Peer Ministry, to help others on campus feel seen, known and loved, has allowed me to encounter my peers in a profound way, and those encounters have also left a lasting impact on me.

One of the most meaningful parts of Peer Ministry is our 1:1 conversations with students where we meet students where they are. Sometimes our ministry is simply listening to others, while other times, it is helping someone on the periphery find community, faith opportunities and a sense of belonging.

Events we host, like Pancakes with Jesus, give students from all religious backgrounds a chance to connect and have meaningful conversations. These events also give us, as peer ministers, the opportunity to build relationships with students in a way that feels natural and welcoming.

After two years, I continue serving because I have seen the impact this ministry has on others and have experienced it myself. Your gift will help us reach more students and support professional development opportunities for the peer ministers. This would give us more resources and strengthen our ability to make an impact on more students. Thank you!"
