Black Empowerment Student Alliance (BESA)

The Black Empowerment Student Alliance (BESA) highlights the struggles, aspirations and victories of Black people/life through the emphasis of academic achievements, historical awareness and social consciousness while bringing an engaging, diverse community to campus.

BESA is seeking funds to help support our club's mission to bring diverse community engagement to the University of St. Thomas campus. We host a number of events each year for students, faculty and community members. Your gift will help support having food at events, decorations, renting spaces and supporting Black community members and business by engaging with them here on campus.

Thank you for your generosity!

A Note from Jasmine Rollins '27

"I have been apart of BESA since before I came to the St. Thomas campus. BESA has provided a community on campus, giving me a diverse community to connect with and most importantly, lifelong friends! I now have the privilege to be a board member and plan these events for my community. BESA does a number of events each year that help me connect with students, organizations and community members everywhere. Thank you for considering a gift to support our club!"
